There are three official places to get Grok: the grok.com website, the App Store and Google Play. xAI links to all three in its news posts. The chat version has no separate program for Windows or macOS, so on a computer Grok runs in the browser. Where to download Grok officially
Every entry point is listed on xAI's page Bringing Grok 4.5 to iOS, Android, Web, and X from 22 July 2026. Take the links from there, or search for the app in the store itself.

The App Store listing includes Russian among its languages, and the developer is shown as X Corp. with the subtitle "AI assistant by SpaceXAI". In xAI's documentation the same company is called SpaceXSI. The developer name keeps changing, so check the link from xAI's page rather than the name.
What the app can do
Going by the Google Play description, the app offers voice conversations, generation of images and short videos with sound, and access to fresh data from X and the internet. On the free tier, according to xAI's documentation, chat and voice work. What each paid plan includes is described tersely in the stores, so look at the plan's contents inside the app before paying.
Grok on a computer
xAI's documentation describes Grok as the grok.com website plus apps for iOS and Android. There is no desktop version of the chat. There is a different product, Grok Bot: it has a desktop app, but that is a separate program that signs in through a Cursor account, and it should not be confused with the Grok chat. If you are searching for "download Grok for PC," what you want is the grok.com website, and an "installer" with that name on third-party sites is best left unrun.
How to install Grok on Android and iPhone
- Open the store and search for Grok, or follow the link from xAI's page.
- On Android make sure the page address contains
ai.x.grok. On iPhone you need iOS 17 or newer. - Tap "Install". The app is free, and paid plans are bought inside it.
- Sign in to your account. According to xAI's documentation a single sign-in syncs conversations, settings and the subscription on the website and in the apps.
- Open Settings, the Usage section, and look at your limits.
If the app is missing from your account's store, the cause is the account's region, not your search. Reports differ on whether Grok is in the Russian stores. We advise neither changing the account region nor hunting for an installer elsewhere: for the chat, the website is enough.
Do not mix up the Grok app and Grok Bot. xAI's documentation says outright that they are two different programs, and the limit in one has nothing to do with the other.
How much SuperGrok costs and how limits work
SuperGrok is the paid subscription tier of Grok. The prices come from in-app purchases as listed in the App Store listing on 29 October 2026:

Extra Usage Credits packs are sold separately, at $5, $20, $50 and $100. Store prices depend on the region, and xAI's plan structure changed recently. On 12 October 2026 the company announced The X Subscription: Free at $0, Plus at $8, Premium at $30, Super at $100 and Ultra at $200 per month. According to xAI's description, Premium includes SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+ features. Current SuperGrok subscribers can stay on their plan or move to the new one. Before paying, check against what the app shows.
Limits on paid plans are shared. According to the xAI FAQ, a user has one weekly pool that is spent on any Grok product. The remainder, the breakdown by product and the reset time are visible in Settings, in the Usage section. When the pool runs out, the free tier of chat and voice remains, and it resets on its own schedule. xAI does not name exact numbers for the free limit in public materials. Figures from reviews, such as "about 10 requests per 2 hours," are not officially confirmed, so we do not treat them as fact.
Grok APK and "cracked" builds: why not to bother
A search for "grok apk" is a search for an installer that bypasses Google Play. We give no links to such files and advise against looking for them. The reason is how the service works: limits and the subscription are tied to the account on xAI's side, and you can see them in the Usage section. A modified build cannot truly "switch on" SuperGrok on your phone, and a promise of "unlimited" in such a file is more sensibly read as bait.
Fake Groks have already turned up. Tom's Guide wrote about a fake Grok app for macOS that spread malware. Repackaged APKs for Android work similarly, and a common sign of them is excess permissions, such as drawing over other windows and installing apps. If the official app is not in your store, use the grok.com website.
Does Grok work in Russia
The xAI documentation we opened has no official list of regions, so the only way to find out is in practice. According to users and reviews, grok.com opens without extra tools with some providers, while payment by a Russian bank card does not go through. We found no confirmation from xAI itself of either access or a block, so we promise neither.

Grok through the codexkey API: grok-4.7, grok-4.6 and grok-4.5
codexkey does not sell SuperGrok or the Grok app; it offers API access to models only. If you need the model itself for code, analysis or an agent, rather than a voice mode and a chat app, one sk_cdx_... key will do, paid by Russian card, through SBP (the Russian Faster Payments System) or in crypto, with no xAI account.
