Introduction
codexkey gives you access to Claude models through a single API key from the dashboard. The same key works with the Anthropic Messages API and the OpenAI Chat Completions API, so you can drop it into an SDK, an editor, an agent or an automation script that accepts a custom base URL.
What codexkey includes
| Area | What you get |
|---|---|
| Anthropic-compatible | POST /v1/messages with Anthropic-format requests and SSE streams |
| OpenAI-compatible | POST /v1/chat/completions and GET /v1/models |
| Models | Claude (Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5, Haiku 4.5, Fable 5 and earlier versions), GPT-6 and GPT-5.6, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, Grok, Kimi, MiniMax; image and video models are listed separately |
| Tooling | Connects to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, OpenCode, Zed, Hermes, OpenClaw, SDKs and cURL |
| Billing | You pay for the tokens you use, with a separate price per 1M for each model |
| Key controls | Key name, Premium or Cheap channel, Premium fallback for Cheap, expiry date, usage statistics |
Recommended model IDs
These IDs are stable, so it is safe to hard-code them in clients and configs:
claude-opus-5-5gpt-6-solclaude-sonnet-5gpt-6.1-solgpt-6-luna
Older Anthropic IDs with a date and some aliases are still accepted, but new integrations should use the stable names listed above.
Base URL rules
- Anthropic SDK / raw Anthropic API: use
https://api.codexkey.online(without/v1) - OpenAI SDK / Cursor / VS Code OpenAI-compatible tools: use
https://api.codexkey.online/v1 - Claude Code: use
https://api.codexkey.onlineforANTHROPIC_BASE_URL(without/v1)
In the rendered docs, the host above is replaced automatically with the base URL configured in the admin settings.
Why codexkey
- No Anthropic account needed: an email address is enough
- Instant activation: create a key and send your first request in under a minute
- Flexible payments: Russian cards and SBP, crypto (CryptoCloud, CryptoBot), international methods through Platega
- Pay-as-you-go: no subscriptions and no monthly fee, and credits never expire
- Dual API format: one key fits both Anthropic tools and OpenAI-compatible ones
- Per-key controls: A key has a name, a Premium or Cheap channel, a Premium fallback for Cheap, an expiry date and usage statistics. The dashboard key API does not set RPM/TPM, concurrency, budgets, model lists, IP filters or IDE restrictions on a key.
