Kling AI is a video and image generator from the Chinese company Kuaishou. Version 3.0 makes clips up to 15 seconds long with built-in sound. You use it on kling.ai with a subscription or for credits. Russian-language guides say a Russian bank card will not go through, so for readers in Russia we describe the API route separately.
What Kling AI is
Kling launched in June 2024. Kuaishou says the service has more than 60 million creators and has produced over 600 million videos (press release on Kling 3.0). The official site is kling.ai. The menu has a Download section, and Creative Studio holds video generation, image generation and Motion Control.
The Kling home page also advertises MCP and a CLI for starting generations from AI agents. That is a separate route from the codexkey API. The official material we opened says nothing about a Russian interface. Test a Russian prompt on a short clip and compare it with an English one. Until you know the model understands you, spend as few credits as you can.
What is new in Kling 3.0
Kuaishou announced the 3.0 series in February 2026: Video 3.0, Video 3.0 Omni, Image 3.0 and Image 3.0 Omni. The main points from the press release:
- Clips up to 15 seconds. Duration is flexible, from 3 to 15 seconds according to the Kling guide.
- Built-in sound: speech in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Spanish, with different accents and dialects. A scene can have each character speak a different language.
- A storyboard of several shots from a single prompt: Kling changes angles and shots on its own.
- In the Omni version a reference video sets the character's look and voice, and a multi-shot storyboard lets you specify length, shot size and camera movement for every shot.
- 4K mode: by Kling's own calculation a second costs 30 credits (credit guide).
Ultra subscribers got the model first, and public access was promised later.
Kling 4.0 is out: what to do about version 3.0
Kuaishou released Kling 4.0 on 15 October 2026. It advertises clips up to 30 seconds in one pass, steadier large movement, anchor frames (up to 10), 10-bit HDR output and, in the future, 4K with a 21:9 format. An API for businesses and developers is promised "soon" (Bernama).
As of 29 October 2026 the codexkey catalog has kling-v3.0 and kling-v2.6, and no 4.0 model yet. Version 3.0 stays a workable choice as long as 15 seconds is enough: for ad inserts, shots with dialogue and clips made from photos. Waiting for 4.0 makes sense if you need long shots without cuts.
Kling AI pricing and credits as of 29 October 2026
The table follows the Kling guide of 28 July 2026. The discount applies to the first subscription only.
| Plan | First month | Renewal | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $0 | $0 | none |
| Standard | $6.99 | $8.80 | 660 |
| Pro | $25.99 | $32.56 | 3,000 |
| Premier | $64.99 | $80.96 | 8,000 |
| Ultra | $127.99 | $159.99 | 26,000 |
Basic is free but gives no monthly credits, and what you make on it cannot be used commercially. From Standard up you get 1080p, a faster queue, video extension, watermark removal and commercial use. Pro, Premier and Ultra add priority access to new features.
The credit rules come from the credit policy. Subscription credits last one month and do not carry over, purchased credits are valid for two years, and credits are returned for a failed generation. The standard top-up price is one dollar for 66 credits.
Kling estimates the number of clips itself: the guide's table gives a count of 720p videos for each plan. We divided the renewal price by that count. Kling does not name the clip length in that row, so the figures in the last column are a rough guide and not a price list.
| Plan | 720p clips by Kling's estimate | Price per clip on renewal |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 33 | about $0.27 |
| Pro | 150 | about $0.22 |
| Premier | 400 | about $0.20 |
| Ultra | 1,300 | about $0.12 |
A 4K clip is counted differently. At 30 credits per second, all 660 credits of Standard buy 22 seconds in 4K. That is too little to try the format, and only the higher plans cover a real project.
Check five things before you pay for a subscription:
- The credit balance in the interface. Figures from blogs go stale quickly.
- What eats the most. According to the Kling guide, 4K, sound and multi-shot affect the price.
- How long credits live: subscription credits expire after a month, purchased ones last two years.
- The payment method at checkout. The official material we opened does not show a list of accepted cards.
- Rights to the result: commercial use is banned on Basic.
Kling AI subscription and payment from Russia
Searches like "buy Kling AI" and "pay for Kling AI" end up at the payment step. Neither the credit policy nor Kling's plan table names payment methods or a list of countries. A Russian-language guide on DTF reports that Stripe processes the payments and that it declines Russian cards, Mir (the Russian national card system) included. The author gives no source, and the piece is promotional: it carries affiliate links to a middleman. Treat it as a report, not a Kling statement.
We do not recommend schemes with someone else's cards, resold accounts or middlemen. Your money and access go to a third party, and nobody guarantees a refund in a dispute. If you need the kling.ai service itself, go by the terms on its payment page. If you need the models, connect the API.
Kling AI Motion Control
Motion Control transfers movement from a video to a character from an image. You upload a picture of the character and a motion sample video from 3 to 30 seconds long, and the result is as long as the sample. The character's orientation is taken from the video or from the image; in the second case you set the camera with the prompt (Kling guide).
The guide's requirements: the sample has one character and one continuous shot with no cuts or camera movement, at a moderate pace. The framing of the image and the sample must match, full body to full body. The short side of the sample is at least 340 pixels and the long side at most 3,850. Version 3.0 added face binding so that the face does not "drift" on turns. Billing is per second, and the length is rounded to a whole second.
Motion Control is not in the parameter list of kling-v3.0 in the codexkey catalog: it is a feature of the kling.ai service.
Kling AI through the codexkey API
A Kling subscription and the API solve different problems. The subscription gives you the whole interface of the service: Motion Control, character elements, a canvas with an agent. The API hands over the models themselves, so you can pay for individual clips, with no monthly commitment and no credit expiry. When you need to generate video from your own app or script, the choice is obvious. If a subscription is out of reach and you still need the model, the same API helps.
codexkey offers kling-v3.0 and kling-v2.6: key sk_cdx_..., address https://api.codexkey.online/v1, payment in rubles by Russian card, SBP (the Russian Faster Payments System) or cryptocurrency, no VPN (payment methods). This is not a Kling subscription and not Kling credits: the result arrives over the API and will not appear in your kling.ai account.
curl https://api.codexkey.online/v1/videos \
-H "Authorization: Bearer sk_cdx_YOUR_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"model": "kling-v3.0", "prompt": "A girl walks through a night market, neon signs, the camera follows her, the hum of the crowd is audible"}'
Check versions against the catalog, not the press release. For kling-v3.0 it lists durations of 5 and 10 seconds, although Kling itself claims up to 15. kling-v2.6 also has 5 and 10 seconds, with sound enabled by a separate parameter. The model page decides the allowed values, so look at it before you run anything.
The response contains the task id. You check the status through GET /v1/videos/{id} and pick up the finished file from GET /v1/videos/{id}/content; the format is compatible with the OpenAI Videos API (reference). Duration, the std, pro and 4K modes, sound and multi-shot are set by parameters, and the allowed values are on the model page in the catalog. There is no public price list for video: the price is shown on the model page, and money is charged only for a successful result.
If you doubt that Kling is the right fit, run the same prompt on Seedance 2.5. What else is out there beyond these two is compared in the overview of AI video generators, and credits and free ways in are covered in Kling AI free.
FAQ
What is Kling AI and whose model is it?
Kling AI belongs to the Chinese company Kuaishou. It is a video and image generation service with the site kling.ai. Version 3.0 came out in February 2026, version 4.0 on 15 October 2026.
How much does a Kling AI subscription cost?
As of 29 October 2026, per Kling's table: Standard $6.99 for the first month and $8.80 on renewal, Pro $25.99 and $32.56, Premier $64.99 and $80.96, Ultra $127.99 and $159.99. The Basic plan is free but comes without monthly credits.
Can I pay for Kling AI from Russia?
Kling's official pages do not name payment methods. A Russian-language guide reports that Russian cards are declined, but that report is unconfirmed. If you need the models without a subscription, connect the codexkey API and pay by Russian card, SBP or crypto.
Is Kling AI available in Russian, and can I download it?
We found no confirmation of a Russian interface in the official material. The web version runs on kling.ai, and the site menu has a Download section. There is no need to download "Kling" from unofficial sites.
What are Kling AI credits?
Credits are the service's internal currency for paying for generations. A subscription issues them every month and they live for one month. Purchased credits are valid for two years, at $1 for 66 credits. If a generation fails, the credits come back.
Kling 3.0 or 4.0: which to choose?
If you need clips longer than 15 seconds, look at Kling 4.0 in the kling.ai service itself. The codexkey API currently offers kling-v3.0 and kling-v2.6. Version 3.0 is enough for dialogue, ad inserts and clips made from photos.
What is Kling Motion Control?
A motion transfer mode: you upload a picture of a character and a motion sample video from 3 to 30 seconds long, and Kling renders a clip in which the character repeats the sample's movements and facial expressions. The sample needs one character and one continuous shot with no cuts.
